When Apple announced the iPhone 7 back in 2017, people were schocked because it came out without the headphone jack.

That was the very first smartphone that came out without the headphone jack and people immediately raised a lot of questions about it saying, "Oh, this is so unnecessary." They're just going out of their way to make their phone stand out.

Go out of one's way.

Plus, they also announced the first generation of airpods that same years, so people said a lot things about that as well, that it was an obvoous attempt at trying to get people to buy airpods.

If I remember correctly, other companies (their competitiors) continued making phones with the headphone jack and Apple just continued to go out on a limb with their "no- headphone- jack" design.

But they really didn't last very long, did it? Pretty soon, everybody was using airpods. Some people even go as far as to say that that is the best design change Apple has ever made to the iPhone.

I had been thinking about swtiching from android to iOS for the last 3 years. I finally got the new iPhone 14 pro recently.

You know, it's too expensive compared to Samsung galaxy. But the main reason I bought it was the extraordinary camera quaility and air drop service. Why most of my friends use iPhone huh?

This is my frist step into the Apple ecosystem.

My friends who use iPhone say it's time to add an Apple watch to my ecosystem.

But...well... we'll see whether I become locked in to the Apple ecosystem or not.
